Between May the 4th, celebrating all things Star Wars, followed by Cinco de Mayo, there's a lot happening in Grand Rapids this week!

Tulips are springing and celebrations of Dutch heritage are in full effect, on top of the beautiful Spring weather. It's time to get out and do stuff!

Who else wants a multi-billon dollar aquarium in Grand Rapids? John Ball Zoo does!

Who doesnā€™t love tater tots? And, a whole day dedicated to this wonderful starch? I couldnā€™t not have this as a top story. 

šŸŒ· Time in Holland. Starts on Saturday. If you donā€™t already know what this is, youā€™re not truly a citizen of Grand Rapids. 5K, Pickleball tounament, and of course the Tulip Garden. Goes through May 12th.

Griffins are in the playoffs trying to knock off the Rockford icehogs (what a good name). They play tomorrow night, and you can see the full schedule here.

Grand Rapids Rise (our female professional volleyball team) is playing San Diego on May 4th at Van Andel - 5pm.

Hudsonville Softball improves to 16-0 - keep it up ladies!

Riverbank Run is on May 11th. Still time to get in shape for the 5k, or just bring your kids down for the atmosphere. You can feel the energy down there.

Brandon Lake: I love the song ā€œGratitudeā€, and he has a great name. Heā€™s playing Van Andel TONIGHT at 7pm if you can snag a last minute ticket.

Murder on the Orient Express: Still going at the Civic Theater with shows daily until May 5th. (great reviews)

May the Fourth be with You: Celebrate one of the best holidays of the year with the Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra! On May 3 and May 4 at DeVos youā€™ll hear GRSO bring the compositions to life with a full chorus!

Scotty McCreery: On Sunday May 10, you'll have a chance to hear American Idol winner Scotty McReery in the state-of-the-art sanctuary of Holland's Central Wesleyan Church!

Grand Rapids Ballet: ā€œExperience one of the greatest ballets of all timeā€ (New York Times) on May 3-5th at Peter Martin Wege Theatre.

GRNoir has live Jazz music Wed-Sat starting at 7:30pm

Kentwoood Community Choir is playing their Spring Concert on May 3rd at 7pm! Free & open to the public.

Wildwood Farms is having an outdoor concert with food trucks and family fun on May 4th at 7pm. Just $10, and kids are free (and pets)!
