This week, Grand Rapids celebrated our Veterans with a variety of special events, including a 5-mile marathon. The holiday season is also kicking off, with workshops and art markets springing up to help us embrace the cooler weather.

🏃 Grand Rapids Runs, Rolls and Walks to Honor Veterans: Hundreds of people turned out to run, jog, walk, or wheel 5 miles in support of those that served.

🎨VeterART: A Grand Rapids coffee shop has opened up a space for Veterans to showcase their art.
🔮Teacher Had a Premonition: When WZZM caught up with a teacher from Glenside Elementary to bestow their Teacher of the Week award, they announced they had a hunch they were going to win.
🏘️Tiny Houses Are Coming To Town: Mel-Trotter and Next Steps have received $1,000,000 in funding to build 16 tiny houses!
🏈Eight Teams Left: Three out of the eight remaining teams in the regional championships are from the Muskegon area.
🏈WZZM Share Their Highlights: WZZM shared their highlights from the 11th week of the 2024 season.

👨💼 Highlighting New Businesses
Big Mini Putt Club just opened their first Grand Rapids location.
The Main Event, a family event center with everything from billiards to bowling alleys, has opened at Woodland Mall in Kentwood.
We Rock The Spectrum, a sensory-friendly gym for kids on the spectrum, had their grand opening recently.
Woodchuck.ai, an innovative AI-driven platform for eliminating wood waste, is opening their first physical headquarters in Grand Rapids.
People are already calling Roti Indian Kitchen the best Indian food in the area.
